HEAD OF ACCOUNTING

Our client –  international company expanding activities in Lithuania is currently looking for HEAD OF ACCOUNTING.

Goals job description, tasks:

  • Overall responsible for the accounting processes;
  • Overall responsible for the month-end closing process, including tools and documentation;
  • Responsible for implementation of a process workflow system like Blackline or similar;
  • Preparation of various accounting memos;
  • Responsible for implementation of changes in accounting policies;
  • Tax reporting (from accounting point of view);
  • Main contact of external audit;
  • Key contact for compliance on statutory Financial Statements.

Skills, proficiencies required:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar leadership role;
  • Significant experience in a senior accounting role and solid experience in accounting working in a global organization is essential;
  • Great insight into month-end closing processes for an international group;
  • Good understanding of IFRS (Accounting standards);
  • Great stakeholder management;
  • Fluent in spoken and written in English (or additional European languages are a plus);
  • Should be ready to travel (20-30 days per year).
